How To Create Smart Magazines In Flipboard On Iphone
Flipboard for iOS has got a brand new design and an elegant feature called “Smart Magazines” in its latest avatar. The topic-based section has not just added more value to the news app but also boosted the user-experience. Most interestingly, Smart Magazines can learn what you like reading and suggests stories accordingly. Hence, you won’t have to spend your valuable time in searching for the type of articles that you enjoy reading.
To begin with, you need to create Smart Magazines based on your favorite topic. Once you have the latest version of Flipboard installed on your iOS device, it hardly takes a few steps to prepare your special topic-based section. Here is how it works!
How to Create Smart Magazine in Flipboard on iPhone
Step #1. First off, you need to update Flipboard to the latest version (4.0.1). (Go to App Store on your iDevice → Updates and update it, if you haven’t done it yet.)
Step #2. Next, launch Flipboard on your iOS device. The brand new design will welcome you. Now, swipe left from right or tap on Get Started.
Step #3. Next up, you need to either select the topics from available options or write the name of the topic that interests you. In this test, I’m going to select Technology → Once you have chosen the topic, you need to personalize it. The news app will show more stories from the related topic. Choose the type of story you want to read. You can also search the type of story you wish to follow → Tap on Done at the bottom right corner to confirm.
Now, wait for a few seconds to let the app create your smart magazine.
That’s it! If you want to create another magazine on a different topic, swipe left from right and go through the same steps mentioned above.
The Bottom Line
I’m really glad to see this welcome change in Flipboard. To be honest, I wanted this type of fundamental overhaul in this app for long just like many users. What’s your take on the new design of Flipboard and Smart Magazines?
